He trained in Edinburgh, Cambridge and London, with a research fellowship at St. Mark’s Hospital and was awarded an MD(Res) from Imperial College for his thesis on “Dysplasia detection at colonoscopy”. His research interests include quality in endoscopy, serrated polyps, endoscopy in IBD, and advanced endoscopic imaging and therapy.

He has published more than 100 peer reviewed scientific articles and five book chapters since 2003 and is a regular speaker on endoscopy nationally and internationally.
