DESCRIPTION:Information updated March 18\, 2020: Digestive Disease Week® (DDW) is cancelled\n\n\n\n\n\nDDW 2020 and all associated events\, scheduled for May 2-5\, 2020\, in Chicago\, have been cancelled. \nWhile we are disappointed to miss the science\, education and networking that are hallmarks of DDW\, we must focus on the health and safety of our community. Thank you for your patience as we evaluated the status of DDW in light of the rapidly changing coronavirus pandemic. \nWe are exploring options for virtual education. For 50 years\, DDW has advanced our understanding of digestive disease and helped us improve patient care – 2020 should continue that tradition. We will keep in touch as plans for distance learning come together. \nCertainly\, this cancellation raises many questions. We have attempted to answer them in this FAQ and remain committed to keeping you informed of new details as they form. \nIf you have additional questions\, please submit a ticket to our help desk. This will help direct your question to the appropriate person and expedite a response. \nThank you for your patience. \n\n  \n\n\nDigestive Disease Week® is the largest International annual meeting in gastroenterology and hepatology. The upcoming Digestive Disease Week (DDW) 2020 annual meeting will be held in May 2020\, in Chicago\, Illinois. DDW is the largest international gathering of physicians\, researchers and academics in the fields of gastroenterology\, hepatology\, endoscopy and gastrointestinal surgery. The meeting provides a venue for scientists and clinicians to attend sessions and learn from their colleagues and peers through special lectures and 5\,400 abstract-based poster and oral presentations. This science presented during DDW represents the latest discoveries on digestive health. Every year it attracts approximately 18\,000 physicians\, researchers and academics from around the world.
