SUMMARY:8th Annual Flexible Endoscopic Surgery & Bariatric Endoscopy Course
DESCRIPTION:This unique endoscopy course focuses on an intensive hands-on experience designed for gastroenterologists\, surgical endoscopists\, gastroenterology fellows\, and GI nurses. State-of-the-art lectures by leaders in the Field will cover techniques and cutting-edge advances in GI Endoscopy in both flexible endoscopic surgery and bariatric endoscopy. Topics include primary obesity devices (balloons\, sleeves\, endoscopic plicating\, endoscopic suturing)\, post-bariatric complications\, endoscopic suturing\, Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)\, POEM\, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD)\, full-thickness resection (FTR)\, GI bleeding\, ERCP in the bariatric patient\, therapeutic EUS\, EndoHepatology\, and more! \nThis 3-day event starts off with state-of-the-art lectures and hands-on demonstrations of new techniques and devices for bariatric endoscopy\, followed by state-of-the-art lectures and hands-on demonstrations of flexible endoscopic surgical techniques and devices\, focusing heavily on third space procedures. Throughout each day\, we will have special simultaneous sessions highlighting Therapeutic EUS (Fri) and EndoHepatology (Sat). During lunch\, we will also have exciting live broadcast cases from the Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo\, Brazil. \nOur last in-person course was held in March 2019 and was a huge success! We were oversubscribed for the didactic and hands-on stations and had a good mix of Gastroenterologists (75%) and Surgeons (25%). Course feedback was excellent\, and many participants returned to their home institutions and successfully incorporated techniques highlighted at this event in their clinical practices! Since COVID\, our platform has been virtual\, so we are excited to be back in person! \nAt the conclusion of this conference\, the participant should be able to determine indications and contraindications for advanced endoscopic procedures\, describe endoscopy’s role in managing the bariatric patient\, and assess new technology in digestive disease management.

SUMMARY:2021 Endoscopy Postgraduate in Vienna
DESCRIPTION:DiLumen will be presented at the booth of our Distribution Partner in Austria\, Pejcl Medizintechnik.\n  \nAbout the 2021 Endoscopy Postgraduate in Vienna\nAfter the compulsory break last year\, the endoscopy postgraduate course is back and is being held in a hybrid format this year in line with the signs of the times. \nWe look forward to welcoming as many participants as possible to Vienna on November 19th and 20th. For those who cannot come or if circumstances do not allow\, the event will be streamed on the internet. \nWhen selecting the topics\, we tried to catch up on what had been lost and stretched the range of topics particularly wide. \nIn addition to high-end procedures such as rendezvous and hybrid interventions using EUS\, we will highlight the news about the ERCP. \n“Endoscopy in everyday life” is also of particular importance: What is new to improve the detection rate of polyps\, what do we need to know about inflammation in the intestine in 2021? In gastroscopy\, we devote ourselves to subtle changes that may escape the examiner’s attention\, but also to new methods of defect closure or the ablation of benign and premalignant changes. \nSo that we also consider the patient as a whole in endoscopy\, another focus will be on the characteristics and needs of special collectives: We will devote ourselves to special accompanying circumstances such as cardiac or liver diseases as well as the special requirements for endoscopy in old people.

SUMMARY:12th Annual Long Island Live Endoscopy
DESCRIPTION:The latest U.S. News & World Report has named NYU Winthrop Hospital as one of the best hospitals in the New York Metropolitan region for 2019-20\, ranking for 6 high performing types of care\, which includes Gastroenterology.\nIn 2020\, the main focus of the Long Island Live Endoscopy course will again be cutting-edge endoluminal surgery and Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) techniques. These include three simultaneous live Per-Oral Endoscopic Myotomies (POEMs) demonstrating technique variations by three expert POEM operators in various challenging clinical scenarios\, including multiple Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD)\, Endoscopic Full-Thickness Resection (EFTR)\, Submucosal Tunneling Endoscopic Resection (STER) for GI tumors\, Zenker’s diverticulotomy\, peroral pyloromyotomy and other endoscopic surgery procedures. \nFor the 8th year in a row we will feature live cases by Haruhiro Inoue\, an ESD pioneer and global “Father of POEM”\, cases by Ping-Hong Zhou\, the operator with the highest volume of POEM and EFTR/STER cases in the world\, and live cases by Naohisa Yahagi\, a pre-eminent Japanese ESD master. Western approaches to colonic ESD and suturing will be demonstrated in live cases by Sergey Kantsevoy. Western approaches to POEM\, ESD and EFTR\, including use of the hybrid knife\, Endoflip\, Endoscopic Suturing and the DiLumen and ORISE-TRS technologies will be demonstrated in live cases by Stavros Stavropoulos.

SUMMARY:Innovations in Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This hands-on ESD workshop is designed to address the need for exposure to the techniques and advantages of ESD through lecture\, analysis of taped ESD and EMR procedures and extended one-on-one interaction with internationally renowned faculty. \nThe University of Florida has organized a two day Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) training workshop that is designed to facilitate the introduction and expansion of ESD in the US. The goal is for the attendees to benefit from the pioneering Japanese expertise (There will be 3 Japanese faculty) along with incorporating the Western experience (there will be 1 European and 5 US faculty). \nThis workshop will be heavily focused on hands-on training and has some unique features which we believe will make it a great opportunity to acquire or expand ESD skills. We will have a firm attendee cap in order to provide ample scope time to each participant. \nThe workshop will be conveniently located in St. Petersburg\, FL with very easy access to the beach\, golf\, tennis and shopping.
