DESCRIPTION:The Rocky Mountain Interventional Endoscopy 2018 Course\nOffering the following programs for Gastroenterologists\, Gastrointestinal Surgeons\, and Gastrointestinal Nurses:​ \n\nGI Nurse and Technicians Program – Thursday\, February 15\, 2018\nFellows Advanced Endoscopy Program – Thursday\, February 15\, 2018\nRocky Mountain Interventional Endoscopy Main Course – Friday – Saturday\, February 16 – 17\, 2018\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nImprove the performance of ERCP and EUS in the community by understanding established indications\, contraindications\, techniques to optimize success\, and minimize adverse events. This includes advanced and alternative methods of bile duct access and to employ palliative therapy options of neoplastic lesions in the pancreas and bile duct.\nImplement the best endoscopic identification and treatment strategies for patients with Barrett’s esophagus and understand the importance of the role of new techniques and technologies to improve and expand treatment options and enhance patient education of alternatives to minimally invasive and open surgical options.\nIntegrate practice guidelines and expert opinion in the identification and treatment of complex colonic polyps and patients at risk for polyposis syndromes. Implement the best endoscopic techniques to remove pre-malignant colonic lesions and to determine when surgical resection may be necessary.\nIdentify malignant biliary and pancreatic diseases by fluoroscopy\, cholangioscopy\, and cytohistopathology and summarize the endoscopic\, medical and surgical options for management.\nIncorporate the most current society practice guidelines in the reprocessing of flexible GI endoscopes.\n\nRocky Mountain Interventional Endoscopy Course
