SUMMARY:ACG’s 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting & Postgraduate Course
DESCRIPTION:The ACG Annual Scientific Meeting & Postgraduate Course offers excellent faculty and a dedicated focus on the needs of GI clinicians that make this the premier event in gastroenterology.\nThe ACG Annual Scientific Meeting is the ONLY major GI meeting that is still offered as a member benefit at no extra charge. ACG members also receive discounted registration rates for the Postgraduate Course and Friday courses. \nACG 2024 offers clinicians\, academicians\, researchers\, trainees\, advanced practice providers and other professionals in the field access to experts for in-depth discussions on a broad range of cutting-edge topics in GI\, hepatology\, and endoscopy\, along with the opportunity to network\, share experiences\, and see the latest advances in gastrointestinal technology and therapeutics throughout the Exhibit Hall. \nThe in-person meeting will take place October 25-30\, 2024\, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. \nVirtual access to on-demand sessions will begin in October. SUMMARY:Endoscopic Intramural Surgery/Third Space Endoscopy: Tricks of the Trade
DESCRIPTION:Course Description\nThis annual hands-on symposium\, which includes seven hours for surgical skills hands-on lab\, is designed to introduce the attendees to new and emerging techniques in third space endoscopy/endoscopic intramural surgery within the gastrointestinal tract. This course will feature hot topics in diagnostic and therapeutic interventions by Cleveland Clinic world-renowned experts. The seven-hour interactive hands-on skills lab includes POEM\, G-POEM (POP)\, ESD\, Z-POEM\, tissue closure/apposition and more. \nEducational Objectives\nAfter participating in this educational activity\, practitioners will be able to do the following: \n\nDemonstrate and describe the basic techniques and indications for esophageal and gastric POEM for the management of foregut motility disorders\nDemonstrate and describe the basic techniques and indications for esophageal\, gastric and colorectal ESD\nReview the adverse events associated with third space endoscopy and their management\nDemonstrate the techniques and devices used for third space endoscopy and their implementation in practice.\n\nTarget Audience\nThis course is designed for health care providers practicing endoscopy including gastroenterologists\, general surgeons\, advanced endoscopists\, surgical endoscopists\, trainees\, nurses and technicians.
