Professor Alessandro Repici, MD is Director of the Digestive Endoscopy Department at the Research Humanitas Hospital in Milano, which is the largest endoscopy unit in Italy with approximately 15,000 endoscopic procedures each year. He is also Professor of Gastroenterology at the Humanitas University, School of Medicine in Milano.

He is currently involved in more than 50 studies including phase II and phase III studies for FDA and EMA clearances of new molecules and new devices for diagnostic and operative endoscopy. He has been instrumental in the development of many new endoscopic techniques in the field of diagnosis and therapy, with attention to new methods of endoscopic removal of cancerous lesions and early palliation of advanced gastrointestinal malignancies.

Alessandro Repici is Expert Member of the National Institute of Health of the Italian Government as well as official Reviewer for the European Community for medical projects supported by the European Community. After graduating in 1990 with a degree in medicine and surgery he won a scholarship at the Department of Gastroenterology Molinette Hospital in Turin, where he began his practice in digestive endoscopy.
