Mr Amyn Haji is a highly trained and highly experienced consultant colorectal and general surgeon based in London. He is an expert in interventional endoscopy covering both upper and lower GI endoscopy. Mr Haji’s specialised interests include colorectal cancer, polyps, endoscopy, haemorrhoids, hernias, and achalasia. Currently, he is the clinical lead for colorectal surgery and endoscopy at King’s College Hospital; London where he is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer.

Graduating from the University of Cambridge, Mr Haji received his primary medical qualification in 1999. He later undertook his basic surgical training at University College London Hospitals and Basildon, before he continued his higher surgical training with King’s College Hospital and Essex in North East Thames. Having done extensive clinical research, in 2006 Mr Haji was awarded a Masters in Surgical Science from the University of Kent. He was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and subsequently completed a fellowship in Advanced Colonoscopy at Showa University, Japan. As his clinical research continued, Mr Haji was additionally awarded a Doctorate in Medicine from King’s College London in 2011.
