PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose for position)

Responsibilities include generating revenue for Lumendi products in the West (California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho).  Providing quality service and support for Lumendi customers.  Representing Lumendi in positive and ethical manner.

  • Meet or exceed sales quota in assigned region.
  • Adhere to Lumendi policies and code of conduct in an ethical manner.
  • Work in collaboration with the VP Sales to develop and implement regional business plans designed to achieve sales quota.
  • Support ongoing product training and in-servicing of all Lumendi products during procedures and in-between cases with physicians, nurses, and techs.
  • Build and maintain sustainable strategic relationships in targeted accounts (clinical and non-clinical customers).
  • Communicate market intelligence to the VP Sales and VP Marketing of competitor’s new product offering, pricing strategy, and merchandizing practices in the assigned region.
  • Completes and submits all administrative responsibilities accurately and on time (CRM, expense reports, and vacations).
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed by the VP Sales and home office.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of Lumendi’s product offerings, competitors, and local market changes.
  • Perform all other essential duties as assigned.

PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose for position)

The Clinical Educator is responsible for delivering customer-focused, expert education with emphasis on the safe and effective use of the DiLumen endolumenal platform. This position is responsible for initial and on-going product training, and to help coordinate the logistics and equipment needed to perform DiLumen procedures. In addition, the Clinical Educator will assist the VP of Medical Affairs in preparing for and executing data collection efforts (including registries and clinical trials) throughout continental Europe. The position is a field-based role supporting gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, their respective support staffs as well as the representatives of our distribution partners. This position requires collaboration with the sales and marketing teams and will report to the VP International Business Development.

  • Perform product training for new and established customers and respective persons in distributors with an emphasis on appropriate use and safety in accordance with the published guidelines and Instructions for Use (IFU).
  • Plan and manage the schedule of product trials.
  • Coordinate and ensure the clinical logistics of each practice within the territory.
  • Conduct training to ensure proper patient selection, device use, and follow up care.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and convey treatment benefits, risks, and safety protocols.
  • Work closely with Director of Education and Training to follow and update training protocols.
  • Remain current on relevant scientific literature and patient procedures.
  • Responsible for relaying field-based observations (e.g. trends, challenges, etc.) to management of information relative to product performance, customer satisfaction, and safety.
  • Serve as a key contact for field team members and customers regarding product and procedural applications.
  • Partner with VP Medical Affairs and VP International Business Development to diagnose customer needs and develop a described, targeted account specific education strategy that fits each practice and their support staff.
  • Assist Medical Affairs in facilitating clinical study agreements, budgets, and Ethics Committee documents as requested
  • Assist Medical Affairs in data collection efforts when requested
  • Attend and assist in working major conventions and commercial meetings as determined by management.
  • Support customer service by promptly providing customer feedback, complaint, adverse event reporting and/or follow up. Follow all Regulatory and Quality System requirements.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical device field, preferably in endolumenal surgery/therapeutic endoscopy as well as GI / OR experiences.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must hold valid RN license to practice.
  • Must follow hospital, laboratory, and industry protocols for credentialing, patient confidential compliance, and fair business practices. This means registering with the assigned credentialing service and following any hospital protocols for accessing physicians, or discussing patient cases.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral), analytical, and results oriented project management skills.
  • Scientific/Clinical acumen
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all compliance guidelines in the EU relevant to the medical device and field medical roles
  • Highly ethical and with strong compliance record
  • Current EU work authorization required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally when requested.
  • Travel up to 75% of time, which may include overnight / weekend travel.
